Artist Karin Foreman Biography

Karin Foreman Biography: Karin is a freelance artist, who creates artwork, graphic design, and inspirational nature photography.  Foreman has degrees in graphic design and fine arts.

Moreover, Karen creates a wide variety of illustrations and layouts for book-, CD- and DVD-covers, brochures, magazines, promotional items, and trade show posters. Furthermore, she fashions business cards, logos, custom invitations & announcements and children’s book characters.  Presently, Karin is designing art for apparel and luxury silk scarves.

Additionally, Karin’s creations sell at art shows and gift shops around the greater Los Angeles area.  Equally important, her work is in various magazines and features in many exhibitions nationwide, including 2016 in New York City.  In addition, Karin is also an event and award-winning nature and travel photographer. She is able to capture the essence of the moment. Karin Foreman wins The Exposure Award and is in The Nature Collection. Her photography was honored at a private reception at the Louvre Museum, in Paris, on July 13, 2015.

As part of giving back to the community, she has successfully led Art at Lunch, which is a K-8 PTA sponsored program, teaching children the fun of art.

Not only does Karin enjoy graphic designing, she also works in many different mediums like pastels, prismacolor, pencil, pen & ink, charcoal, acrylics, and especially in mixed media. She produces numerous pieces through the art of traditional printmaking—a method that dates back to the Middle Ages. They include linocuts, mezzotints, monoprints, zinc and solar etchings which are printed on hand-made paper and bark. Many of her prints grace private homes in the United States and Europe.
